What we collect
Your email and name to sign in (or your Google profile data if you sign in with Google). The data you add or connect: accounts, payments, categories, counterparties, stock. Bank access tokens, if you connect a bank.
Why
Only to show you your finances: import payments, build reports and convert currencies. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Banks
monobank and PrivatBank tokens are stored encrypted. Balanso uses them only to read statements and balances; it cannot move money. You can disconnect a bank at any time in settings.
Where data is stored
In a database and on servers in Frankfurt (EU). Statements sent for recognition go to an AI model and are not used to train it.
Your rights
Write to us to get a copy of your data or to delete your account. How to delete your account is described on the “Delete your account” page.
Analytics, errors and cookies
To understand where visitors come from and which sections they use, the balanso.app website uses Google Analytics, and the website and the Balanso web app use PostHog (servers in Frankfurt, EU, no cookies). We send only the pages visited and the account ID: no email, amounts, accounts or statements. For visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics turns on only after consent in the banner. Crashes of the website, server and apps are reported to Sentry (servers in the EU): only a technical description of the error, no amounts, accounts, statements or access keys.
Mobile apps
The Balanso apps for iOS and Android collect the same data as the website, only to run the service. They show no ads, do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not share data with advertising services. Analytics and error reports work as described in “Analytics, errors and cookies”.
Children
Balanso is meant for adults keeping books for their business or personal finances. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
How long we keep data
For as long as your account exists. A statement file is deleted as soon as you post or discard the import; only the payments created from it remain. After you ask us to delete your account, we erase your data within 30 days, and it leaves backups within another 30 days.
Who processes your data
Balanso is owned by sole proprietor Kovalskyi Anton Vitaliiovych, Kyiv, Ukraine, who is responsible for processing your data. The Balanso mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play are published by DATA MINDS MARKETING, LLC (USA) on behalf of the service owner.
